Delight Yourself in The Lord.

As mankind, we are required to delight in the Lord, and we are also required to love the Lord, for it is all about Him. For example, my husband threatened to marry another wife if I did not stop serving the Lord. (praying for people, and ministry) but I ignored him. The Lord is my joy and gladness, my sweet sleep, my merry heart, and my First True Love.

For Scriptures says, “Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass. (Psalm 37:4-5) (NKJV)

Take intense pleasure or satisfaction in the Word of God, enjoy reading the Word, hunger for the Word, and spend time with the Him.

Scripture tells us, David delivered a “Song of Thanksgiving” to the Lord in recognition of great victories he had experienced at the hand of God’s favor. (1 Chronicles 16:7-36).

  1. Can you write your own personal poetry to the Lord?
  2. Dance before Him.
  3. Give thanks to Him for the extensive list of things He has done for you and your family, always remember His marvelous works, and give Him glory. He is our healer and deliverer Who fights our battles; and seals every pit that has been dug by the enemies.
  4. Read the Bible.
  5. Encourage someone to praise the Lord.
  6. Pray for those who are unkind to you.
  7. Help the widows and orphans.
  8. Listen and obey the Lord’s command.
  9. Praise and give thanks daily, worship at home or in the car, not just at church.
  10. Always tell Him how much you love Him.
  11. Believe His promises and put Him first.
  12. Guard the doors of your heart and talk about what the Lord has done for you and your family.

Yearning for God in the Midst of Distresses:

David trusted the Lord, he loved the Lord with all his heart, so in time of trouble or distress he turned to the Lord alone. Who do you turn to in time of distress? When people whom you love, fail, or disappoint, and hurt you? Please turn to the Lord and “Pour your heart before Him.” (Psalm 62:8).

David cried out, “As the deer pants for the water brooks, so pants my soul for You, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.” (Psalm 42:1-2) (NKJV) Are you able to increase your hunger for the Lord, and trust in Him alone?

Praise the Lord!!! Hallelujah!!
