Christianity is Change.
Mankind has inherited good and bad characteristics from generational parents, so the saying is, “it is human nature” but if we walk in the Spirit, we will think and act differently than others because we are a “New Creation, old things must pass away and behold all things have become new.” (2nd Corinthians 5:17) We must walk as children of Light, for our Father is intensely Holy.
We can also overcome temptation/evil by doing good, and situations will be resolved in a positive way, which gives one joy and gladness in place of sorrow, but in-order to walk in the Spirit, we need to first receive the Spirit. I am talking about the Holy Spirit, “walk in the Spirit” (Galatians 5:16) means to be obedient to the Spirit, fellowship with the Spirit, and commune with the Spirit.
When one walks in the Spirit, anger and sadness will not linger in all situations because one automatically develops the fruits of the Spirit according to the book of Galatians 5:22. (Love, Joy, Peace, Goodness, Kindness, Gentleness, Self-control, Faithfulness, and Patience).
As children of God, do not be conformed to this world, (do not comply, do not do as the world does) but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” (Romans 12:1-2). (NKJV). This is the will of God in our lives, the key here is to renew the way you think, the way you talk, for your character/behavior to be transformed, for Christianity is change, change in one’s character.
Please walk as children of Light, “let the old man go and let the new man come which was created to God in truth.” (Ephesians 4:22-24)
The Lord is crying out in the wilderness for you to renew your mind, kill the old man in you please and be Christ-like, to be transformed daily, spiritual transformation. “For we were once in darkness, but now we are light in the Lord, we must walk as children of Light.” (Ephesians 5:8). And “Put on our Lord Jesus Christ in order to quench the lust of the flesh.” (Romans 13:14).
Testimony about a Priest:
Jesus appeared to a young man who could not accept Jesus Christ because of the many women in his life, so Jesus told the young man to read the book of Romans 13:14 and quench the lust. After reading the passage Jesus recommended, the young man was delivered and totally transformed, he enrolled to become a Theologian, and is now a Scholar, who has written many books. Please “Put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.” (NKJV). NIV translation says, “Clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh.” Ask the Lord to kill it.
A Scholar, Paul Pettit Argues, “Change is not optional for the believer in Jesus Christ. The relationship should be continually growing, improving, and maturing. God is the one who enables and brings about the change.”
If mankind will only give Him a chance.
Share my story about chicken. GOD cleaned me-He is still cleaning me.
The Lord said, Amba, I waited for so many years to clean you before I could use you. He lifted a full-size chicken without feathers, skin, nor flesh, just bones. I am now that chicken without feathers, skin nor flesh, just bony for Jesus because I surrendered my heart, and my all to Him.
I thought it was all over, but no, because I also went through the fiery furnace situation. I said, how can I survive this painful fire? Just when I thought it was over, I was put back into the fire. I asked the Lord why? And He showed me a beautiful fresh cleaned out baby that came out from the fire. That is me, He is still working to complete what He started.
Brothers, please forgive your wives, do not remember the things she said to you while you were under the mulberry tree 22 years ago, and sisters, as we get older, we tend to remember the things that happened to us 45 years ago. Please let go because it will only drain you.
Jesus asked me a few years ago, did you carry the cross for anyone? Why are you crying? I was deeply hurt by some sisters at church. I did let go, so please let go.
God’s desire is for us to be transformed to be Christ like.
Christianity is Change.
A Christian is the one who changes.
Change in the way you think,
Change in the way you talk,
A change in character, renewing your mind,
A Christian is the one who has self-control, who is slow to anger, kind, patient with one another, visit the widows and help the orphans, and who loves others and helps those in need, and much more.
Character in the New Man are:
Tender mercies, kindness, humility, patience, bearing with one another and forgiving one another. Please forgive as Christ forgave you, but above all these things put on love which is the bond of perfection. And it is well pleasing to the Father. (Colossians chapters 1,2, and 3).
Also put off anger, lies, gossip, fornication, idolatry, anger, your condescending ways, pride, and put on tender mercies, kindness, meekness, patience, humility, respect for one another, and forgiving one another. (Colossians 3:5,8,12).
Jesus is always there to help us, so please surrender and submit your hearts to Him.
Whatever situation you are in or going through in life is not permanent, for 1 Peter 5:10 declares, “After you have suffered a while, He will Perfect, Settle, Establish and Strengthen you.” So please call on Jesus. Do not let go, trust in Him, and “cling to Him.” (Jeremiah 13:11).
Testimony:
I know a man who attends Mass regularly (Catholic Church) enjoys having Holy Communion, and sometimes prays, but refuses to embrace change. He still drinks a lot of alcohol, womanizes, is full of deceit, many lies, and extremely abusive. (Verbal abuse) Once the Lord was angry with this individual and He sent an angel to beat down the lady he was cheating with. He stopped for a while and continued with his behavior, but now he is weak in certain areas I cannot mention. As Christians, we must change to be Christ-like.
A Question:
What have you been able to let go of regarding your character?
-Have you been able to let go of pride and deceit?
-Have you been able to let go of verbal abuse and physical abuse?
-lies? Condescending ways? Gossiping? Anger?
-Question, what have you been able to let go of?
And are you able to forgive?
Forgiveness is for you, and not for them, so please let go.
And give God a chance, He will make you a better you, because He made Amba a better Amba.
Amen!!
